Because I'm someone who loves to take time and have conversations with ALL the sales people at the market, I've lost an entire day in the old town of Tunis, without even seeing 10% of it.

Souks you should definitely visit are those of jewellery and perfumes. A great place to lunch, brunch or dine is this beautiful palace DAR BELHADJ - a first class restaurant, in a typically Tunisian setting, right in the middle of Medina. It's a restaurant in the day and resto-lounge with live-music in the evening. Our butler was kind enough to show us the whole palace... Very enchanting, indeed.
